No one in MMA will likely match his BOXING. It's gonna be hard to box with someone when they are keeping you at bay with leg kicks and body kicks. It's gonna be hard to box with someone when they got you in a clinch and are kneeing you in the head and sides. I'm not going to insult Toney's striking. You really can't when he's a professional boxer. But to completely discount the gravity and effectiveness of a ground game is just going to give you a losing record as soon as you face anyone who can take a punch, brush it off and get you on your back. Match him up with anyone who is versed at all in BJJ and there's a good chance Toney will be on his back or in a clinch and have no idea how to handle it.

This is essentially looking like a Kimbo Slice situation. Kimbo is a tough dude and can put all the force in the world behind a single punch, but that's street fighting. When his punches don't land and he gets taken down, he's a fish out of water. The way Toney is talking, disregarding take downs and the ground game, he's going to find himself in a similar position if he's not careful.

Give yourself the benefit, Toney, and work on fighting from your back.

Toney has no power, he aint knocking out anybody with one punch when their shooting in...He's a blown up middle weight, with a middle weights structure underneath his girth, and has very small hands ...He' a slick boxer, who is very adept at creating good angles and rolling with punches not to get hit, thats it..The science of boxing is predicated on your opponent trying to apply the same principles as you, the scope is limited to that only ....That is exactly what MMA is not.. Toney will be put on his ass by any one with a ground game and will get fucking worked.......

Do you honestly think those fighters you named can hang with Toney striking? You obviously know nothing. Those guys you mentioned have good striking I will admit but they also have been cross training. Toney has been focused ONLY on striking and can take a punch way better than any MMA fighter. You have to understand that Toney has faced boxers that are 10x better on their feet than anybody you mentioned. I do not think Toney will do that good in the UFC but to say he is going to get KTFO is ludicrous.

However, he also said, that he knows MMA and will surprise us by his skills.
