"If they let him box, we should all get to box".

Jim Miller in a recent interview.

Here is my thought on it.

Step 1 - Wait until your not signed with the UFC.
Step 2 - Get your ass beat for peanuts and realize why you started training MMA to begin with.
Step 3 - Go back to the UFC and never being as good as Conor Mcgregor or Anderson Silva.
Step 4 - Shut the fuck up and fight in the sport you trained for.

I'm not against it at all. Why not? Some fighters need to learn that mma is their only ticket, and all the shit they said about boxing will make them eat their words. Other fighters who actually have that potential to box, can realize that they can actually make a decent amount of coin, while making a name for themselves. It's all good in my opinion.

His point seems to be more of the 'if one guy, regardless of skill, gets to go box while under UFC contract, we ALL should be allowed to make the jump" than him saying all MMA fighters ought to consider it.

The lack of headmovement in MMA makes it almost impossible for any well trained mma fighter to be succesfull in boxing.

go tell money mayweather that he's fighting "jim miller"... then let's see if "we all get to box..." Bob Arum has probably met 50 different people named "Jim Miller" in his life... and doesn't remember any of them....

I think BJ Penn and Anderson prove your statement wrong... but yeah, for the most part, a lot of fighters eat punches and counterpunch and/or shoot for a takedown right the fuck away as opposed to moving away from the strike to begin with.... or they check kicks with their forearms or knees or something to that effect... all techniques that do not directly correlate to boxing successfully against a professional pugilist
