MacDonald more athletic? 'Never laughed so much in my life,' Woodley says

Tyron Woodley said recent comments from upcoming opponent Rory MacDonald’s trainer gave him quite the laugh.

Woodley (13-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who meets MacDonald (16-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC 174 pay-per-view co-headliner at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, told MMAjunkie that Firas Zahabi’s recent assessment that his fighter is more athletic than “T-Wood” is absurd.

“His coach on ‘Embedded’ said he’s more athletic than me,” the welterweight contender said ahead of the possible title eliminator. “I’ve never laughed so much in my life. He can work as hard as he can. They can stab him with as much steroids and TRT and do whatever, but he’ll never be more athletic than me.

“It’s just a God-given gift. It’s not that he’s not athletic, but I’m probably the most athletic guy in the division.”
