Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will return to the Octagon in 2015, taking on Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC 184. The bout was announced during “UFC Tonight.”

Set for February 28 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a pair of world title fights currently occupy the top billing. Chris Weidman defends his middleweight championship against Vitor Belfort, while Ronda Rousey puts her female bantamweight title on the line vs. Cat Zingano.

Mir (16-9) has made all but two of his pro appearances with the UFC, going 14-9. Recently, he lost to Alistair Overeem, but that took place in early 2014. Overall, the 35-year-old has lost four straight to Overeem, Josh Barnett, Daniel Cormier and Junior dos Santos.

Silva (18-6) is just 2-5 with one no-contest since 2011, including a September first round knockout loss to Andrei Arlovski. He spent a good portion of the year on the sidelines after having elevated levels of TRT in his system following a draw with Mark Hunt. That result was changed to a no-contest after the drug test.

Below is the current lineup:

UFC Middleweight Championship
Chris Weidman (c) vs. Vitor Belfort

UFC Female Bantamweight Championship
Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Cat Zingano

Heavyweight: Frank Mir vs. Antonio Silva
