World Series of Fighting has revealed the preliminary match-ups for it’s upcoming event.
On Friday, the promotion announced an eight-fight preliminary card for WSOF 35 headlined by featherweights Alexandre Almeida and Steven Siler. The Brazilian Almeida lost his WSOF featherweight title in his last bout, losing a majority decision to Lance Palmer back in July. Almeida is 18-6 as a professional fighter. Meanwhile, Siler, a former UFC fighter, is also coming off a loss, dropping a split decision to Andre Harrison last March at Titan FC 37. The 30-year-old fighter is 28-15 in his MMA career and 5-2 since leaving the UFC back in 2014.
WSOF 35 is set to take place on March 18 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y. The card will have three championship belts on the line, as former UFC fighter Shawn Jordan will be challenging heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov in the main event, Lance Palmer will defend his 145-pound title against Andre Harrison, and Timur Valiev and Bekbulat Magomedov will battle for the vacant bantamweight title.
