UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo has relented and has agreed to fight Anthony Pettis, who, after beating Donald Cerrone, expressed interest in dropping to 145, instead of waiting for the winner of Henderson-Melendez at 155. However, if Aldo wins against Pettis, he gets a crack at the 155 belt. And then we’ve got Henderson saying he wants to fight GSP at 170. And let’s not forget Anderson Silva, who wants a superfight with GSP or Jon Jones, either one at a catch weight. The fans win in a sense, because we get to see the best fight the best. The losers are the guys who have strung together several wins in a division, only to be leapfrogged over by an interloper from another division.
