All three judges at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre scored the bout 30-27 in favor of Miocic. Miocic, who landed 137 significant strikes, peppered Nelson with punches and knees throughout the first two rounds. In the third, he slowed the pace as he he managed to keep away from Nelson’s attempts to land a home run of a finish.
